3 nights in Las Vegas

STAY

This was my first stay in the Cosmopolitan Hotel, and it certainly won’t be the last. Treat yourself with a stay at this luxurious hotel. I loved the space, the text assistant, the friendly staff and the balcony (more on that below).

Check out the bathroom view with a soaking tub that overlooks the Bellagio Fountains on the strip.

The Cosmo is the only hotel with balconies, and for a little extra you can get one that faces the fountains. For me, this was a no brainer because who doesn’t want to wake up to this view?

Caesar’s Palace is a more affordable hotel, but a Vegas staple.

The price is reasonable, but beware that everything is itemized and an extra charge, from how many phones you have on the wifi to an early check in (which you can request!) There is a digital and contactless check in process which I appreciated, but the hotel is so large we got lost trying to find the room.

The Caesar isn’t as fancy as the Cosmo, but it’s a prime location, has a fun Roman theme, and you get to make jokes from The Hangover while you’re here.

“You probably get this a lot… but, this isn’t the real Caesar’s Palace, is it?”

EAT

Momofuku is inside the Cosmo Hotel. I’m a huge David Chang fan: I’ve read his book (Eat a Peach) and first saw his show years ago.

I also love the bakery, Milk Bar, so was excited to be able to finally try this restaurant.

The shishito peppers (which I think are the new Brussel Sprouts) are tasty.

The menu changes constantly, but you won’t be disappointed with this meal. Stop at the Chandelier Bar for a pre-dinner drink and you’ll never have to leave the hotel.

The Modern Vegan is a delicious local spot off the strip that my good friend (who is vegan, and a Vegas local) highly recommended. Its in an unassuming strip mall but don’t let the exterior fool you.

There’s even vegan chicken wings on the menu, and a nice smoothie selection.

DRINK

The Chandelier Bar may be my favorite bar in the entire world. The bar itself is a life sized chandelier, 3 stories of crystals and sparkles.

I’ve never seen anything like it and always have an extra sparkly time here. There isn’t a bad seat in the house.

Order the Verbena Drink, which is a roller coaster for your taste buds.

The second time we came to the Chandelier Bar, the Verbena was sold out, which is why I switched to the French 75.

Va Bene is located on the ground floor of the Cosmo Hotel. You don’t even have to leave the property to get some caffeine. Weave through the slot machines to get to this quaint coffee shop.

Vanderpump Garden gets a 10/10 for ambiance and attention to detail. I’m obsessed with the lighting and romantic feel that the flowers add to the overall vibe.

The Garden is located inside Caesar’s Palace and is worth a pre-dinner stop.

The service wasn’t quick, but there are worse places to sit around while you wait for your drink and appetizers to arrive.

DO: Pools & Fountains

The Cosmo has 2 pools. This one in the Chelsea tower is calmer than the Boulevard tower.

I could watch the fountains for hours. The water is coordinated to music, and it can be mesmerizing to watch.

There’s never a long wait in between songs, and at certain times of day the fountains play every 15-30 minutes. Check the Bellagio website for details when you’re in town.

I am the Bellagio Fountain’s number one fan.

Caesar’s Palace has 7 pools. They’re all in the same courtyard so you can hop around.

It is easy to spend an afternoon here, either in the sun or shade, as you recover from the night before and get ready for your Vegas evening.

The property does a great job of sticking to the Roman theme, especially with the architecture at the pools.
